Educational work with all age groups


 

Being Reformist means placing the Bible’s message at the centre of your life (sola scriptura). As the word of God is aimed directly at people – without any institutional mediator – all are called upon to read the Bible and to contemplate its contents. The churches want to help their members in this demanding undertaking and so educational work is a central concern of the Reformed Church. Every age group is provided for with Sunday school for children, religious instruction in schools, confirmation instruction and youth work. There is a wide range of educational opportunities for adults. Particular attention is paid to senior citizens in the form of various courses and excursion options. As well as religious services, the Reformed Church thus offers an invitation to a multitude of events in church communities at a cantonal church level, supported by educational centres.
