An open, lively debate with leaders from society, politics and economics: From January 28 to 30, 2010, the Open Forum Davos will shine a spotlight on current issues such as the financial crisis, climate change and Switzerland.
The Open Forum Davos 2010 will take place from January 28 to 30. For the eighth time, it will be organized by the Federation of Swiss Protestant Churches (SEK) and the World Economic Forum.The Open Forum Davos highlights current issues in the critical debate about globalisation and its consequences. From 2003 on, this platform for dialogue has been hosted in tandem with the World Economic Forum. Like every year, there is an open microphone: after an initial panel discussion, the audience is called upon to challenge the panellists with controversial questions and positions.
The following issues will be discussed at the Open Forum Davos 2010:

* After the Financial Crisis: Consequences and Lessons Learned
* Climate Change: Financing Urgent Adaptation
* Does Religion’s Claim to Truth Lead to Violence?
* The Ageing Society – Still Young at 65?
* Yes, We Can? One Year of Barack Obama
* A World without Nuclear Weapons: Utopia?
The Open Forum Davos 2010 will once again take place in the auditorium of the Alpine Mittelschule Davos. The panels will be translated simultaneously into German and English. Some of the panels will be broadcast live by Swiss television channel SF-info.
